About

Pilgrimage is one of the phenomena's of humanity. From the ancient world, to the present day, pilgrimage can be found in most religions and cultures across the world.
The Museum of Pilgrimage was founded by Stacey Anne Bagdi, PhD Candidate. Stacey is an Archaeologist, Egyptologist and Curator. Stacey has been fascinated with pilgrimage and working in Museums has allowed her to bring these two passions together to form the Museum of Pilgrimage.
Through objects and a human-centred approach to storytelling, the Museum of Pilgrimage aims to capture, document and share stories of pilgrimage, from the ancient world until the present day. These stories help shape humankind's approach to pilgrimage through the elements of journeying, experiencing and transforming.
The Museum of Pilgrimage is here to breathe a new life into what we know about the concept of pilgrimage, and enable future generations to learn, evolve and reflect on humankind's collective memory.
